FLASH THREE: ATTRIBUTES

    The attributes are different from the Real Being in thought.  But attributes are identical with Him in fact and reality.

    The Real Being is omniscient in respect of His quality of knowledge.  The Real Being is omnipotent in respect of His power.

    The Real Being is absolute in respect of His Will.

    Just as these attributes are distinct from each other in idea, so they are distinct from the Real Being.  But in fact and reality they are identical with Him.

    There are not in Him many existences, but one sole existence.  His various names and attributes are merely His modes and aspects.

    The Real Being as Being is above all names and attributed.  He is exempt from all conditions and relations.

    The attribution to Him of these names only holds good in respect of His aspects towards the world of phenomena.

    Pure is Thy essence from deficiency,
Expressed its "how" and "where" never can be;
Thy attributes appear distinct, but are
One with Thy essence in reality.
